The Sindh Assembly on Tuesday unanimously passed the finance bill 2004-05 amid the usual slogan chanting from the opposition benches.
The session scheduled to begin at 9 am commenced at 2:15 and lasted for about 45 minutes.
The Speaker Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah was in the chair. After the passage of the bill, the speaker read out prorogation order. The assembly now stands prorogued sine die.
Sindh Finance minister Syed Sardar Ahmed presented the finance bill and requested for its approval. A few members from the opposition objected its presentation and tried to raise points of order.
Earlier, MPA from the minority community, Veerjee, moved a motion regarding accepting auditor general's report on accounts of the government of Sindh 1991-92 - 2001-02.
His motion was carried unanimously and accepted for discussion.
During the proceedings of the session, the quorum of the house remained fluctuating as opposition member kept on going out and coming in. Whereas, the treasury members remained glued to their seats for as long as the proceedings continued.
