The European Union sold 66,000 tonnes of white sugar at a maximum rebate of 48.144 euros per 100 kg at Thursday's tender, traders said.
Out of this, traders in Belgium received 31,500 tonnes, Denmark 12,000 tonnes, Germany 10,500 tonnes and Britain 12,000 tonnes, they added.
Official confirmation was not immediately available.
This week's award brings the cumulative total for 2003/04 to 1,752,150 tonnes.
Earlier on Thursday, traders forecast 20,000 to 50,000 tonnes of exports at a maximum rebate of up to 48.144 euros per 100 kg.
