Pakistan Post Office (PPO) will launch electronic money order service from July 15.
The Chairman Pakistan Postal Services Management Board, Agha Masood Hassan made the announcement, here on Thursday.
He said that the 'Electronic Money Order Service' would be cheaper and more secure than the urgent money order and fax money order service.
Agha Masood maintained that the service will be in the best interest of the masses as well as the traders and industrialists of the country.
Importers and exporters form Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi and Lahore have welcomed the IT initiatives of Pakistan Post Office to introduce e-commerce culture in the country.
They have appreciated the establishment of Post Mall in Lahore and Islamabad where fully automated counters are offering IT-integrated postal services to the masses, besides e-letter project and launching of 'Track and Trace System' in 11 major cities.
