The President has summoned the Senate session on Saturday, 3rd July 2004 at the Parliament House. Besides, the government agenda, the Upper House will take up opposition's business including call attention notices and adjournment motions and also the question hour.
The proceedings will commence at 10: 00 am and the session is expected to continue till July 20.
It will be the first session after Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain took over as Prime Minister, replacing Zafarullah Khan Jamali, who resigned on last Saturday.
Opposition sources said that the opposition parties would raise the issue of removal of Jamali, law and order and other domestic matters.
Prime Minister Shujaat is expected to witness the Senate proceedings on Saturday and might make a statement on the floor of the House, official sources told Business Recorder here.
Sources added that the House might also name the members of the privilege committee.
