PML believes in politics of consensus: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Friday said that PML always believed in politics of consensus and accommodation and it would continue to uphold the same principles in future.
"We would take into confidence all our allied parties on national issues in order to develop consensus before taking any decision," he said while talking to two parliamentary delegations from Sindh that called on him at PM House.
The five-member delegation led by Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi, congratulated the Premier on assumption of office and termed the change as positive transition that would further strengthen democracy in the country.
Senior Minister Shaukat Aziz and Deputy Chairman Senate Khalil-ur-Rehman were also present during the meeting.
Second parliamentary delegation included Senator Dilawar Abbas, Senator Yasmin Shah, MNA Saleem Jan Mazari, Maqbool Sheikh, Usman Malkani, Imtiaz Sheikh, Ali Bukhsh and Altaf Unar.
Congratulating the Prime Minister on assumption of offices they hoped this would augur well for the welfare of common man.
Both the parliamentary delegations assured their full support in the election campaign of Shaukat Aziz for National Assembly membership from Tharparkar-Sindh.
Later, a delegation of Nazimeen from Gujrat including Mian Mohammad Azam, Chaudhry Saleem Akhtar, Haji Mohammad Raza, Chaudhry Mohammad Yousuf and Chaudhry Ajmal Hussain called on the Prime Minister.
They congratulated Chaudhry Shujaat on becoming Prime Minister and hoped the country will progress under his leadership.
A five-member women delegation led by PML President of District Rahim Yar Khan, Mrs. Bano Siraj also paid a courtesy call on the Premier and congratulated him on assumption of PM's office.
