The committee, headed by the CAA deputy director general, comprising the director finance, director (commercial & estates) HQCAA, AIIP director, regional director (north), and AIIP general manager (commercial).
The meeting deliberated upon the execution of commercial plan, and discussed strategy to further expedite the work over it. This was in pursuance to the advertisement given in the national press by the CAA for establishment of a hotel, shopping mall, business centre, petrol pump-cum-CNG station, cold storage and food court, etc.
The committee also discussed various proposals in detail, and chalked out its strategy for the execution of the proposed plan.
According to a CAA spokesman, the Authority is making efforts to develop the airport with all above-related facilities/projects to convert the AIIP into a financially viable project.
He said this will help in providing requisite facilities to the passengers and visitors.
