Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 119,741 tonnes of cargo including 93,826 tonnes import and 25,915 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 60,477 tonnes dry and 59,264 tonnes liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely QC Teal, Kota Waruna, Corinthaikos, Patriakos-II, Safmarine Pakistan, Wan Hai-265 and Ginga Lion sailed out to sea during the report period.
Nine vessels viz Wan Hai-265, Global Prince, Gao He, E.R. Sydney, Le Hi, Ken Blossom, Clipper Faith, Genmar Boss and Bum Ju are currently at the berths.
FIve ships namely Oriental Bright, E.R. Sydney, Safinaz, Gao He and Global Prince expected to sail on Saturday, while three vessels viz Athina, Genmar Boss and Bum Ju are expected to sail on Sunday.
Four ships namely MMM Kingston, Warbah, Red Azalea and Ocean Star Light due to arrive on Saturday, while three vessels viz Orient Stride, Sea Conqueror and Islamabad are due to arrive on Sunday.
Two vessels viz Shamrock Moon and Tai He are due to arrive on Monday.

An oil barge Al-Nasim-II sank in Approach Channel of Port Qasim on Thursday. As such shipping activities at the port were temporarily suspended for safety reasons.
Four ships namely Pacific Senator, Annoula, Al Kortobi and Yanaseni are expected to sail on Saturday, while Safmarine Pakistan is due to take berth on the same day.
