Sindh chief minister sees prosperity after Shaukat's win from Tharparkar

Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has said that the province would soon witness an era of rapid progress and prosperity when Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz would become the new Prime Minister of the country after election as member of the National Assembly from Tharparkar.
The Chief Minister said this while addressing a public meeting at Sports Complex Ground here on Sunday evening.
Thousands of people from all the four Talukas of Mithi, Diplo, Islamkot and Nangarparkar attended the public meeting which formally converted into the election campaign of Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz, who would visit the region on July 7, to file nomination papers from NA-229 Tharparkar-I.
Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim called upon the voters to first try to elect Shaukat Aziz unopposed and if it was not possible than exercise their right of franchise in his favour so that he could win the election with a thumping majority.
He also appealed them not to pay any heed towards negative propaganda of the opposition and make history by electing him from this constituency.
The Chief Minister underlined the need of social boycott of leaders of those political parties, who have been engaged in politics with false slogans and always usurped the rights of the people whenever they came into powers.
While expressing thanks to the people of Tharparkar for extending their confidence on him, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim said that he was making all-out efforts to come to the expectation of the people of Sindh by achieving the goals set for rapid progress and prosperity of the province.
He said that he was enjoying the support of the President General Pervez Musharraf, Pir Sahib Pagaro, MQM chief Altaf Hussein and Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi and would make all-out efforts to come up to their expectation and move the province towards the path of rapid progress and prosperity.
The Chief Minister said that his government has succeeded in maintaining the rule of law by reducing the crime rate and terrorism in the province. The maintenance of law and order is the top most priority and soon the people would witness the Supremacy of law in the province, he vowed.
Dr Rahim said that Thar Coal Project and establishment of coal power plant would change the destiny of the people of Tharparkar district.
The Chief Minister vowed to fulfil all his commitments, which he made on the floor of the House.
He, on the occasion, also announced power supply schemes for Tharparkar district with an amount of Rs 10 million and assured that maximum facilities would be provided to the area to improve the socio-economic condition of the people.
