Muhammad Basharat Raja, provincial Minister for Local Government and Law, has reiterated the resolve of his government to take concrete steps for maintaining the law and order in the province in order to improve the economic condition.
"People who create law and order situation and problems for the government and masses would be given exemplary punishment," he said while talking to reporters on Saturday.
"The government is committed to protect the life and honour of the people of the province," he said, adding, "people reposed their confidence in us and gave us mandate to work for the socio-economic uplift. We are well aware of our responsibilities towards the country and the people."
TOP PRIORITY: Raja said that the top most priority of the government is to provide quick justice and improve the living standard of the people.
"We are taking concrete steps to improve the law and order situation in the province in order to attract the foreign and domestic investors, which would help in stabilisation of the country's economy," he said.
"Pakistan", he said "is facing many problems, like unemployment, illiteracy and poverty. Once peace comes in the country, it will enhance the economic activities."
The minister called upon leaders of the public opinion and business community to play their effective role at this historical juncture, where Pakistan has attained the economic stability, which now needs to be strengthened.
