Dull trend seen on commodity markets

The commodity wholesale markets had lacklustre going during the week ended on July 3, 2004. The fluctuations were modest which showed supply/demand in match.
However, plastic mouldings, wheat, guwar, juwar, gram and dal, yellow peas and dal peas moved both ways.
Unlike its real character, plastic mouldings did not fluctuate frequently. However, changes underhead HDPE film Saudia 952 up 37 paisa to Rs 32.60, mobil up same amount to Rs 32.60, TR144 up 37 paisa to Rs 32.62, HDPE blow Kuwait up 75 paisa to Rs 32.75, PP film Thai up 50 paisa to Rs 33, Kuwait up 50 paisa to Rs 33, India up 50 paisa to Rs 33, polypropylene tape grade up 25 paisa to Rs 32.25, Kuwait up same amount to Rs 32.25, Saudia up 25 paisa to Rs 32.25, PP injection Saudia up 50 paisa to Rs 32.50.
India up 50 paisa to Rs 32.50, Kuwait up 50 paisa to Rs 32.50, PP BASF quoted at Rs 2300, Pakistani down 65 paisa to Rs 2013, Copoly Block up 50 paisa to Rs 34.50, Randon up 50 paisa to Rs 36.50, High impact Pak quoted at Rs 2100, BASF up Rs 50 to Rs 2200, ABS polylac 707 quoted at Rs 2250 (2260) and Khumo up Rs 80 to Rs 2230.
Tea prices were somewhat softer. The Kenyan PF-1 A grade down Rs 4 to Rs 163, B grade down Re 1 to Rs 144, BP-1 A grade dropped Rs 9 to Rs 178, B grade down Rs 4 to Rs 176, plus C grade down Rs 10 to Rs 160, C grade down Rs 7 to Rs 143, D-1 A grade down Rs 5 to Rs 195, Indonesia PF-1 Good A down Rs 7 to Rs 150, Good A down Rs 7 to Rs 148, BP-1 (CTC) Good B up Rs 5 to Rs 135, and PD (CTC) down Rs 5 to Rs 135, Rwandan tea PF-1 (CTC) down Rs 17 to Rs 160, BP-1 (CTC) down Rs 10 to Rs 172 and PD (CTC) down Rs 12 to Rs 185.
KIRANA ITEMS: White pepper down Rs 200 to Rs 8000, black pepper up Rs 100 to Rs 4000, nutmeg down Rs 200 to Rs 8000, big cardamom down Rs 100 to Rs 910, cloves down Rs 600 to Rs 10,000 dry ginger down Rs 100 to Rs 6600, aniseed up Rs 100 to Rs 4800, and cuminseed up Rs 1800 to Rs 5300.
MILK POWDER: Skimmed Germany down Rs 50 to Rs 3900, Euro gold up Rs 50 to Rs 3900, Balie Gold up Rs 50 down Rs 100 to Rs 4500.
Wheat shed Rs 10 to Rs 1170 and better quoted at Rs 1175. Juwar up Rs 10 to Rs 870 and better up same amount to Rs 875, cotton cakes inferior twice jumped to cumulative gain of Rs 15 to Rs 240 and better up Rs 10 to Rs 245.

CHEMICALS: Petroleum jelly white Iran up Re 1 to Rs 52, petroleum jelly China down Rs 2 to Rs 55, sulphonic acid soft up Rs 7 to Rs 69, PVA Japan up Rs 2 to Rs 164, Rangolite C China quoted higher at Rs 35.
Same item from Germany down Re 1 to Rs 118, Indian stuff down Re 1 to Rs 61, hydrosulphite China 88 percent up Rs 3.40 to Rs 48.40, same item from Germany down Re 1 to Rs 64 and Indian down same amount to Rs 65, acetic acid Taiwan down Re 1 to Rs 74, and Korea up 50 paisa to Rs 69, hydrogen peroxide 35 percent Korea 5 percent up Rs 2 to Rs 27.50.
SATURDAY'S: Cotton cakes quoted at Rs 555, beetle chana 50x50 inferior up Rs 25 to Rs 1875 and better quoted at Rs 1990, sugar inferior quoted at Rs 1780 and better down Rs 10 to Rs 1820, and Khandsari quoted at Rs 1650 and Rs 1700.
