Speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain has said that Pakistan is committed to its unequivocal stand on Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and wants peaceful solution of this long-standing dispute through dialogues and according to wishes of people of Kashmir.
He stated this while talking to newsmen at Sensa, some four km away from Kotli city on Friday. He said that Kashmir issue would be the focus of talks with India at every level, as Kashmir is the core issue in the region and Pakistan wants to resolve all the outstanding disputes including the Indian occupied Kashmir through dialogues and peaceful means, he added.
Amir Hussein said the government has been making sincere and serious efforts for the creation of conducive atmosphere to resolve all the conflicts through talks which, he said depicts Pakistan's firm resolve and commitment for peace and stability in the region.
To a question Speaker National Assembly said National Security Council (NSC) would help stabilise the parliament and democratic process in the country adding it is not above the parliament.
