PTCL to upgrade optical fibre

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) will carryout maintenance and development work on its main optical fibre cable on Saturday (July 10) between Rawalpindi-Kharian section from 0200 hours to 0600 hours and on July 18 between Peshawar-Nowshera section in the similar timings.
According to a press release issued here on Friday, arrangements have been made to carryout the work without interruption to the live communication services, however PTCL regrets for any inconvenience if caused to its valued customers in this regard.
Moreover, according to another press release, Muhammad Arshad Lineman (Samanabad-1), Mirza Zaheer-ud-din Technician (Samanabad-1) and Ijaz Ahmed Telephone Operator (Corporate Customer Center) from Lahore Telecom Region (South) would perform Haj, on the expenses of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited.
They were selected in a Haj ballot conducted at the GM LTR (South) office. A. D. Raza and Hafeez-ul-Islam GMs of LTR (South and North) were also present on the occasion.
