Computer system repaired

The computer system of the Cash Branch at Customs House has been repaired and normal collection of duty began on Wednesday afternoon.
A spokesman of Karachi Customs Agents Group (KCAG) said on Friday that Collector Afzal Bhatti, who is holding duel charge of collectorates of Preventive and Appraisement, on his return from the Collectors conference in Islamabad, took urgent notice of the customs agents grievances regarding delay in collection of duty, and instructed the computer engineers of Pakistan Revenue Automation Ltd (Pral) to repair the faulty computers.
The spokesman said that consequently the computers of the Cash Branch were repaired and started functioning from Wednesday afternoon. The KCAG thanked the Collector for prompt action.
