No polio case reported after February in Punjab

No polio case has been reported in the Punjab after February, while only three cases were reported before that.
A total of 103 cases were reported in the country last yearn while 14 cases have been reported so far this year, said the DHO Gujranwala, Dr Saeedullah Khan
WHO consultant Dr Sabbar and UNICEF district support officer Dr Javed Ashraf were also present at a press conference here Friday held in connection with the anti-polio campaign to be observed from July 13 to 15.
As many as 732,000 children of the district will be vaccinated in the anti-polio drive, and 1323 mobile teams have been created for the purpose.
The official observed that unfortunately India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria are the four countries which are still faced with this crippling disease.
