'Great potential exists for betterment of livestock sector'

Ambassador of European Union (EU) Michael Dale on Sunday said that there was great potential for the betterment and advancement of livestock sector in Pakistan.
Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Livestock Homeo Research Scientists Association, headed by President PLHRSA Dr Hafiz Mohammad Mattiullah, he said livestock homeo researchers had provided a solid base for the purpose in the shape of curatives of livestock diseases especially Foot and Mouth Disease.
The delegation apprised Michael Dale of latest homeo research in the field of livestock.
They informed the EU ambassador that FMT, a homeo medicine for the treatment of Foot and Mouth Disease, had produced excellent results, after many trials conducted by different research institution.
Michael Dale lauded the efforts of homeo scientists for the successful invention of curative.
He said in the presence of FMT, Foot and Mouth Diseases were no longer incurable in Pakistan, adding, "This effective treatment against FMD must be made available to the end users so that the animals can be saved from the havoc of this deadly disease."
