Supreme Court issues notice to AG in Nazim's plea

A full bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, while issuing notice to the Advocate General, Punjab, has directed him to appear before the court in a petition filed by a Union Council Nazim of Lahore.
The petitioner, Syed Asghar Ali Shah, has approached the august court against the decision of the Lahore High Court (LHC), upholding the decision of election tribunal, which set aside his election as UC Nazim.
His rival candidate had approached the court with a prayer to set aside his election, as he failed to file details of property owned by his wife. The election tribunal had set aside Asghar's election, and the LHC also uphold the decision of the tribunal.
