Martyrs Day observed: Pakistan government lauded for highlighting Kashmir dispute

The Kashmir Martyrs Day was observed on Tuesday throughout Sialkot district by the refugees from the occupied Jammu and Kashmir settled in the district.
The daylong programmes started with special prayers for the solidarity, unity and prosperity of the country as well as for the early liberation of occupied valley. Quran Khawani was also held at various places for the martyrs.
On this occasion, special meetings were held in both the districts by the political parties belonging to Azad Jammu and Kashmir at different places for paying tributes to the martyrs.
Addressing the meetings the speakers highlighted the different aspects of more than half-century-old burning and unsolved Kashmir dispute. The role of Pakistan government was also highly appreciated in the meetings by the refugees for highlighting the Kashmir dispute at different international forums and offer to the Indian government for composite dialogues for resolving the Kashmir dispute.
President All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference of Sialkot district Hafiz Muhammad Raza, while addressing a meeting, said that the Indian government was deliberately negating the United Nations charter of human rights resolutions for making its strong hold in occupied Kashmir.
RUTHLESS MASSACRE: "Despite giving the right of self-determination to the Kashmiris according to UN resolutions, the Indian army is butchering the Kashmiris ruthlessly in held valley," he added.
Hafiz Raza further said that killing of innocent Kashmiris has become a daily routine and atrocities have increased manifold in the occupied valley.
He urged the UN secretary general to accelerate the efforts and use influence on India for ensuring result-oriented and meaningful dialogues with Pakistan for the peaceful settlement of the Kashmir issue. He called upon the United Nations that adequate efforts should also be made for stopping the homicide of Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir.
UN SILENCE DEPLORED: "It is very strange that the Indian army is violating the human rights charter of the United Nation dare-dashingly and conspiracy of silence of the United Nations over the violations and killing of innocent Kashmiris is very astonishing," he added.
Prominent Kashmiri leaders of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Sheikh Muhammad and Ejaz Ahmad Sheikh, while addressing the meeting said that Kashmiri freedom fighters were trying to resolve the Kashmir issue with their blood deserved serious attention of the United Nations, OIC and all freedom-loving nations of the world.
Expressing their deep concern over the silence of United Nations and champions of human rights over the serious violation of human rights, growing incidents of abduction of women and gang rape incidents as well as custodial killing in the held valley.
On this occasion, the refugees lauded the efforts of President General Pervez Musharraf for highlighting the Kashmir issue at all international forums as a result of which the Kashmir issue was being perceived globally.
