Hamdard to send eight workers on Haj

Hamdard Pakistan, as usual, will send its eight workers on Haj pilgrimage on its own account in this Hijra year according to January 2005. The selection of workers from four Hamdard centres at Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Peshawar was made through balloting.
In this connection, a balloting ceremony was held on July 8, 2004 at Al-Majid Hamdard Centre, Nazimabad, Karachi.
Mrs. Sadia Rashid and Dr Navaid-ul-Zafar, Chairperson and Managing Director, Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) respectively, and Furqan Ahmed Shamsi, Director General Hamdard Foundation Pakistan announced the names of successful candidates after drawing their name slips from balloting machine.
A balloting for sending three Hamdard workers on Umrah was also held on the occasion. The three workers, each on the expenses of Hamdard organisation, Hamdard Unity Workers Union (CBA) and Hamdard Gymkhana, will perform Umrah this year.-PR
