I have seen the article of Abdul Mateen published in your newspaper with the above caption.
It is surprising to note that the Habib Bank Ltd put the names of borrowers in the CIB list and that the State Bank of Pakistan has not verified the case of a few firms, such as:
1) Confirmation from exporters
2) Solving dispute which is pending for the last one year with the SBP Constitution Committee.
It is an unfair practice of the State Bank to spoil the reputation of the exporting firms.
Billions of rupees of orders are not processed due to the unnecessary CIB list. Whereas the honourable Sindh High Court has ordered the State Bank of Pakistan to appoint a Chartered Accountant from among its approved list to "verify the extent of such a liability - inflation against the exporters.
The CIB reports are made mostly on a false basis by the Habib Bank and National Bank of Pakistan which put the names of the borrowers in the CIB list without looking properly and the SBP put such names on the CIB list, without verification, should be checked properly. This damages the reputation of the exporting firms.
