UET launches online link with allied campuses

The NWFP University of Engineering and Technology (UET) is going to have online link with all of its allied campuses through Internet services before the end of the current month, said UET Vice Chancellor Engr Imtiaz Hussain Gillani, while addressing a meeting here on Wednesday.
He said these services would be installed in phases ie first at Peshawar campus in collaboration with the BrainNet and then gradually will be extended to other allied campuses in Mardan, Bannu, and Abbottabad.
He said through this technology, the UET students would be able to get online information from UET digital libraries being established at the main campus and video conferencing system.
Project Director Engr Amjad Khattak said the UET Internet Services after the installation of this facility, the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, will be connected to the International Academic Environment.
The meeting was attended by UET Registrar Colonel Imtiaz Ahmad Durrani (Retd), Director (finance) Mohammad Sarwar Khan, Professor Haider Zaman, chairman, Electrical Engineering Department, and UET Internet Services Project Director Engr Amjad Khattak, Aqif Naveed of the Corporate Cells and Arshad Mehmood, System Analyst from the GOL BrainNet.
