Widespread rain of moderate intensity with isolated heavy falls over the upper catchment of the river Chenab along with Gujranwala division was reported during last 24 hours.
Scattered rain of light to moderate intensity, with one or two heavy falls occurred over the upper catchments of rivers Ravi, jhelum and Indus along with Sargodha, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Kohat divisions.
According to Met office, westerly wave over Kashmir continues to persist while seasonal low lies over Balochistan and moist current from the Arabian Sea is reaching southern Punjab.
This weather pattern is likely to cause scattered rain of light to moderate intensity with heavy falls at one or two places over the upper catchments of all the major rivers along with central NWFP northern, north-eastern and central Punjab.
Isolated light to moderate rain has also been forecast for southern NWFP, eastern Balochistan and lower Sindh.
Reports of rain were received from different cities including Marala 135 mm, Sialkot 60 mm, Ura 50 mm, Balakot 32 mm, Murree 29 mm, Rawalakot 24 mm, Daggar 23 mm, Malamjabba 22 mm, Islamabad 22mm, Rahwali 20 mm, Sargodha 20 mm, Palandri 17 mm, Muzaffarabad 7mm, Bannu 6 mm, Mandi Bahauddin and Attock 4 mm each, D.I. Khan 3 mm, Jhelum and Panjgur 1 mm each.
