The body of a young cab driver, who was fired upon and killed by unknown assailants in Prince George William County on Friday night, was despatched to Lahore for burial on Wednesday.
Earlier, a large number of community members attended the Nimaz-e-Janaza of driver Chaudhry Arshad here.
According to family sources, Arshad left his residence at 4 pm on Friday, driving his taxi. The record shows that at 11 pm, he received a call on payphone from a caller in southern area metro station.
After covering about a seven-mile distance, he was killed at 11.15 pm. The killers have not been apprehended as yet.
Arshad was living in the Prince George William County, with his adopted son. Both of them had received a green card a week earlier. This is the seventh killing of a Pakistani-American in the county in the past two years.
