Following the directions of Punjab Industries, Commerce and Investment Minister Muhammad Ajmal Cheema, Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) has announced a 'special relief package' for the benefit of defaulters of industrial plots throughout the province.
This decision was taken during a high-level meeting of PSIC here on Thursday. The minister said that owners of industrial plots in various industrial estates had been given new deadline of December 31 to clear their dues and plots of such owners would not be cancelled who would pay their dues timely.
He said that date for defaulters would not be extended any more. The government was committed to accelerate the industrial process in the province and to give incentives to the people so that maximum industries could be established in the industrial estates, he added.
He said that defaulters should avail the new opportunity and pay their dues before Dec 31 to avoid inconvenience. The meeting also reviewed various projects regarding provision of infrastructure in industrial estates.
