Bangladeshi taka falls for fifth day

The Bangladesh taka dropped for a fifth straight day on Thursday as banks bought dollars for import related payments ahead of local Friday weekend, dealers said.
The taka was quoted at 59.25/59.60 per US dollar, against 59.25/59.45 on Wednesday.
Call rates ranged between 2.5 percent and 5.5 percent against 2.0 to 5.5 percent on Wednesday.
