Strict security measures adopted for foreigners

Punjab government has made necessary security arrangements for the protection of foreigners working in different organisations and firms in the province.
This was told to Korean Ambassador in Pakistan Jean Bu Kwan by the Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) who met him on behalf of the Chief Secretary Punjab here on Thursday.
The Korean Ambassador was informed that it was the responsibility of the government to provide safe working environment to all foreigners performing their duties in the province.
AIG said that the agencies responsible for maintaining law and order had been doing their job efficiently and effectively. Law and order situation in the province has been quite satisfactory and foreigners were performing their functions without any fear of insecurity, he added.
The Ambassador was further informed that the government would continue to maintain safe working environment for foreigners working on various projects in the province. He was also told that extra measures could be taken for maintaining conducive working environment if required.
