Natwar coming on July 19

17 Jul, 2004

Indian External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh will leave for Islamabad on Monday (July 19) to attend two-day Saarc council of ministers meeting, during which he is expected to have bilateral interaction with Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri.
This would be the third meeting of Natwar Singh with his counterpart Kasuri. The first was held in the Chinese city of Qingdao in June, while the next one was in Jakarta this month.
The two leaders would use the occasion to have a broad exchange of views on progress in the composite dialogue process, official sources have been quoted as saying. It will be the first visit of Natwar to Pakistan after the new UPA government assumed office. He is expected to call on President Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Prime Minister-designate and Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz during his stay.
