Humayun and Durrani discuss Export Policy

Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan has said that the export policy would have special tilt towards boosting exports from NWFP, like gems, marble products, horticulture and tobacco.
This was stated by the Federal Minister, while discussing the forthcoming export policy with NWFP Chief Minister Mohammad Akram Durrani.
He disclosed that a model Quarry has been proposed to be established in Buner, while a Date plant will also be set up in Dera Ismail Khan.
The NWFP Chief minister appreciated the proposed steps to boost the exports from the province. He also identified the areas for enhancing exports like fisheries, gems, marbles, granite, horticulture and furniture. Chief Secretary of NWFP, Ejaz Qureshi, and Tasneem Noorani, Federal Commerce secretary also attended the meeting.
