Pakistani businessmen in US urged to avail of investment opportunities

Pakistan Ambassador to the United States, Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, on Saturday called upon the Pakistani American entrepreneurs to avail conducive investment environment in Pakistan.
He said lucrative investment opportunities existed in various fields, and it was time to benefit from them.
Qazi said this while speaking at a breakfast meeting held by the Human Development Foundation of North America at the Bay Area of San Francisco, known as Silicon Valley. Chief executives of Pakistani origin attended the meeting in large numbers.
He said Pakistan's economy has turned around, and referred to attainment of various positive economic indicators, which have been possible because of prudent economic policies coupled with continuity of reforms package.
"It is time to enter into investments initiatives, and do business with Pakistan, which would help generate economic activity, create job opportunities, and result in progress and prosperity of national economy.
Qazi pointed out that Pakistan had been able to expand its export base, and Pakistani products today are highly compatible and world class.
On the other hand, he said, upcoming Pakistani entrepreneurs back home were keen to enter into business deals with intending overseas Pakistanis.
Earlier, Javed Khan of the Human Development Foundation made his opening remarks, while Amir Ali Talpur, chief of Technology Lab. Incorporated, presented the welcome address.
