The Bangladeshi taka ended weaker on Tuesday on high demand for dollars to pay for imports of fuel oil and capital machinery, dealers said.
The taka was quoted at 59.27/60.25 to the US dollar, against 59.25/60.25 on Monday.
Call money rates ranged between 3.75 percent and 5.5 percent against 3.25 and 4.0 percent on Monday.
