US MIDDAY: corn lower on technical fund selling

Chicago Board of Trade corn futures fell further at mid-session on Wednesday amid technical fund selling, which touched off sell stops, traders said.
The traders said funds sold about 6,000 contracts, mostly in the December. Goldenberg Hehmeyer sold 1,500 December, Fimat Futures and O'Connor sold 500 December each.
At 11:42 am CDT, December was down 6-3/4 cents at $2.35-1/4 while September hit a low of $2.27 a bushel, below the previous contract low of $2.29-3/4.
