CDGK to build 31 local buses' termini

The Nazim City District Government Karachi (CDGK), Naimatullah Khan has accorded approval for establishing termini for local buses on 31 sites, identified by Transport & Communication Department.
This was stated by District Officer (DO) Zafar Ahsan during a lecture about road safety to refresher course's drivers on Saturday.
Giving the details of the project, he said these termini would have the facility of workshop, puncture shop, resting-place for bus operators, telephone booth, toilet and restaurant.
The District Officer said that 1 to 5 acres of plots are selected in Korangi, Clifton, Malir Extension, Surjani Town, F.B. Area, Shah Latif Town, Shah Faisal Colony, Defence Society, Qasba Colony, Hawksbay, Orangi, Baldia Town etc for the project.
Zafar Ahsan pointed out that one of the reasons which causes traffic jams in the city is abrupt stopping of buses, mini-buses and coaches on roads other than bus stops to board passengers.
