Light to moderate rain has been forecast for upper catchments of the rivers Sutlaj, Beas, Ravi, Chenab and Jhelum along with northern and north-eastern Punjab during next 24 hours.
According to local met office, westerly wave over Kashmir has moved eastwards but is still affecting eastern Kashmir. Seasonal low is lying over western Balochistan and adjoining Iran while most south-westerly current from Arabian sea is reaching Punjab.
