The Export Promotion Bureau has launched a high-budget publicity campaign these days in the Press on the theme of export "target exceeded". As reflected in these ads, EPB "...gratefully acknowledge(s) the leadership and commitment of the President of Pakistan, Prime Minister, Minister for Finance, Minister for Commerce, provincial Chief Ministers, Governor State Bank, exporters and all other stakeholders for exceeding the target."
One wonders why other dignitaries and officials have been ignored and their "contributions" not acknowledged by the EPB.
The list, thus, may also include the Chairman of Senate, Speaker of the National Assembly, former Prime Minister, the Prime Minister-in-waiting, provincial Governors, Minister for Industries and Production, Minster for Defence, Minister for Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Minister for Privatisation and Investment, other Federal Ministers, Secretary National Security Council, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Commerce, Finance Secretary, Commerce Secretary, Chairman Defence Export Promotion Organisation, Chairman EPB, Vice Chairman EPB.
