Loquat crop damaged

A team of scientists has observed that 15-20 percent crop of 'Loquat' has been damaged due to outbreak of a disease in NWFP province. According to a press release issued on Monday, Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Board has sent a team, to identify the disease which observed that it could further spread, if curative measures are not taken.
However the proper diagnosis would be required.
The team also collected samples of disease affected barks, stem, leaves, roots and soil for analysis in the laboratory. The report along with programme for curative measures would be prepared after laboratory analysis.
