The All Pakistan Motor Dealers Association (Apmda) will take out a rally on Tuesday to protest against the Customs General Order of June 9 which has changed some of the contents of the budget speech of the federal finance minister, who had announced concession on the import of used cars.
The rally would begin from the office of the Apmda Chairman H. M. Shehzad at 1:30 pm, and terminate at the Karachi Press Club.
Shahzad on Monday said all talks with the Central Board of Revenue (CBR) had failed, and the car dealers had no alternative than go on country-wide strike on Tuesday and stage a protest rally.
He said after the rally he would explain the point of view on the CGO, which the car dealers hold.
He said that Apmda demands of the government to withdraw CGO and let the car dealers pursue their business.
