Grain exports from the French port of Rouen totalled 163,730 tonnes for July 1-21, comprising 85,545 tonnes of wheat and 78,185 tonnes of barley, port officials said on Tuesday. That compared with grain exports of 415,000 tonnes in the whole of July last year, comprising 237,000 tonnes of wheat and 178,000 tonnes of barley.
Officials said two vessels were in port on Tuesday, loading 22,500 tonnes of wheat for West Africa and 6,000 tonnes of barley for Greece.
Two other vessels were expected shortly to load an additional 28,000 tonnes of wheat for an unspecified destination.
