The defunct Bolan Textile Mills near Quetta is being converted into a modern campus for Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences (BUITMS).
The consultancy for the ambitious project has been awarded to National Engineering Services of Pakistan (Nespak).
A Nespak team, headed by its Managing Director Dr Amjad Pervez, gave a presentation on the project to the Balochistan Governor on Wednesday in the Governor's House, Quetta.
The Governor expressed satisfaction on the progress of the project, and expressed the hope that the project would greatly help in the development of information technology in the province.
The Nespak team included Sabir Pervez Chauhan, Asad I.A. Khan and Mahmood Suleri.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Dr Abbas Chaudhry, and heads of the various departments of the university were also present on the occasion.
