Kissan Welfare Council (KWC) President, Mohammad Ayub advocate, has expressed his concern over water crisis prevailing in the country particularly in the Southern Punjab areas.
According to a press release issued here on Friday Ayub maintained that the farmers in the areas like Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan were leading a miserable life due to non-availability of irrigation water as it has not only damaged the standing sugarcane crops but also the cotton crop. He was of the view that government policies on water conservation are insufficient.
