About 100 students of different information technology universities, institutions and software houses will participate in the forthcoming three-day ITCN Asia 2004 IT and Software Exhibition at Karachi from August 9 to 11.
Minister for Information Technology Hussain Ahmad Kanju was informed at a meeting here on Tuesday. Secretary IT, Amjad Afridi briefed the minister about the update progress in this regard. The meeting on this occasion finalised the arrangements for participation in the ITCN exhibition.
The minister while briefly speaking on the occasion said that holding of such exhibitions were very useful for promotion of IT and Software Development therefore, IT and Software related institutions should take full advantage of such events.
He asked the participants to interact with the institutions and companies taking part in the exhibition, share with them expertise and project the NWFP in a best manner.
Kanju said that Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) government has made great endeavour to accommodate maximum number of jobless IT professionals but the private sector should also come forward and contribute with the government in this regard as the government alone could not do the job.
