PUJ condemns threat to journalist

Punjab Union of Journalists (PUJ) President Bakhtgir Chaudhry has said that local administration of a news agency has committed contempt of court by threatening and stopping its bureau chief from performing his professional duties.
He said that the labour court had granted stay to the bureau chief Makhdoom Amir Bilal, "but the accused were not allowing him to work smoothly and creating hurdles for him."
He said that the PUJ wanted to see the supremacy of law and justice and would not allow any person to stop a journalist from performing his professional duties.
