NYBOT coffee futures settled broadly higher Friday as roasters took advantage of low prices, analysts and traders said.
September arabica gained 1.15 cents to 67.05 cents a lb, a 1.75 percent rise, after trading 65.75 to 67.70 cents. December settled 1.15 higher at 70.55 cents, with the rest up 0.95 to 1.15 cents.
Analysts and traders cited low prices for the roaster interest. For instance, in May, the September contract had been trading over 80 cents.
