'Basic necessities top local government manifestos'

Provision of basic necessities of life to people of all walks of life has been ensured in the manifesto of district government.
Lahore acting district Nazim Farooq Amjad Mir stated this while addressing a meeting of Human Resource Management here on Saturday.
Mir further stated that welfare of disabled persons is also included in the basic agenda of district government. The government has allocated quota of disabled persons for recruitment in different government and semi-government institutions, so that they could play their due role in the development of the country, he said.
Moreover, a special squad of City District Government of Lahore evacuated hundreds of marla of land from illegal occupants in Miani Sahib graveyard. The squad also removed illegal encroachments from Liberty Chowk.
