Sindh chief minister to hoist 22,000 metre long national flag

Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim will hoist a 22,000 metre long Pakistan flag at Mazar-e-Quaid on August 14.
This decision was taken at a meeting held here on Saturday at the PML House. Senior PML Sindh vice-president Alhaj Shamimuddin presided over the meeting which was also attended by provincial minister Imtiaz Shaikh, Bostan Ali Hoti, Mahfooz Yar Khan, Dr Sultana Ibrahim and other party leaders.
It was claimed that it would be the longest-ever national flag ever hoisted in the country.
Imtiaz Shaikh said that the PML workers will enthusiastically celebrate Pakistan's Independence Day to pay tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters in a befitting manner.
The PML will hold rallies all over Sindh on the day and 19 towns in Karachi will bring rallies to the central office in the city from where Sindh Chief Minister will lead the main rally to the Quaid's mausoleum. Later, PML leaders will address the rally at the Mazar.
The meeting also decided to constitute committees for celebrating Pakistan Day.
