Chinese premier to visit Pakistan soon: Soomro

The Prime Minister of China will soon pay a visit to Pakistan. This was stated by Senate Chairman Mohammedmian Soomro on his return here after an eight-day visit to China.
He described his visit to China as very successful as well as fruitful. Soomro pointed out that the objective was achieved much more than the expectations.
He said there was an interaction with the top leadership of China at many levels.
The Senate Chairman said the 16-member delegation of the Senate visited a number of projects that pertained to agriculture, industry and human development, etc.
He said views were exchanged regarding a number of projects including those of the Gwadar Port, Thar Coal, besides joint ventures between the two countries.
Soomro said discussions were held for collaborations, promotion of tourism, expansion of air links, educational and cultural exchanges.
He stated that he told the Chinese that by investing in Pakistan they could also cover the markets of the Middle East, Central Asia as well as those of the West.
The Senate Chairman pointed out that there was a good response in this respect also. He said the Prime Minister of China would be visiting Pakistan soon.
The invitation in this respect has been extended by President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. Soomro further stated that the date of the visit is yet to be fixed.
