I request NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani and the Inspector-General of Police, NWFP, to issue strict orders to the officials concerned for the arrest of assailants, who critically wounded my younger son, Asghar Khan, when they sprayed him with bullets on June 12, 2004.
The incident took place on the Indus Highway near the Maaniabad police picket in Tehsil Domel, district Bannu.
Asghar's lungs and liver were badly damaged in the attack.
An FIR (No 103) had been registered with the Domel Police Station, identifying four residents of Bannu, as the attackers.
Ever since, the assailants have been threatening victim and family members with dire consequences.
Two of the accused, are still freely roaming in the area, seriously challenging the very existence of the victim and my family.
I again appeal to the NWFP Chief Minister and the Inspector-General of Police to make sure and speedy justice in the case by ordering immediate arrest of the assailants.
