Ten people were killed when two taxis collided on a highway south of Damascus, Syria's official al-Thawra newspaper said on Sunday.
It said the two vehicles were travelling at "excessive speed" on a road linking Damascus to Daraa, some 110 km (70 miles) south of the capital, on Saturday when they crashed head on.
