Drawback rate on propylene reduced

The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has reduced duty drawback rate on export of propylene/polyethylene for packing from August 11, 2004.
The CBR has amended standard SRO 412(I)/2001 through SRO 687(I)/2004 here on Wednesday.
The duty drawback has been slashed from Rs 1.25 per 100 lbs to Re 0.63 per 100 lbs on export of propylene/polyethylene.
The CBR has also reduced duty drawback on export of lamb or sheep skin finished leather with hair on double face from 2.41 percent of fob value to 2.27 percent of the fob value.
According to an SRO 686(I)/2004, the duty drawback on the export of lamb or sheep skin crust or dyed crust leather with hair on as been reduced from 1.62 percent of the fob value to 1.60 percent of fob value.
