PTV grand 'Azadi show' on August 13

Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) will organise a grand "Azadi Show" tonight (Friday) to celebrate the 57th Independence Day.
President General Pervez Musharraf will be the chief guest, to be telecast live from the President House reaching all across the country and over 35 countries abroad.
While giving a briefing to the journalist at PTV headquarter, Managing Director PTV, Arshad Khan informed that PTV was organising "Azadi Show" in connection with the Independence Day and its national campaign 'Salam Pakistan.'
He said that the main objective of this show was to pay rich tribute to their motherland. "Our objective is to recall our glorious past, celebrate the present and to pray for our bright future as a united nation," he added.
Renowned singers including Jawwad Ahmad, Ali Haider, Ahmed Jehanzeb, Strings, Fuzon and others will perform in the show.
Replying to a query regarding the selection of President House for this show, Khan said that numerous dignitaries would attend this show that's why this it had been selected.
Arshad Khan said for the first time, PTV was celebrating Independence Day by commemorating evergreen historic national songs in modern and motivational way.
MD PTV announced that after the successful completion of this Salam Pakistan campaign, PTV has decided to celebrate this campaign every year.
Further revealing programme's details, Arshad Khan said that various special programmes had been compiled in connection with the Independence Day.
He added that programmes such as Heroes of Today, Vision Pakistan, Iss Parcham Key Saey Taley and many other programmes would be aired on August 13 and 14.
