The Punjab Livestock Department has launched a vaccination campaign to protect animals and poultry birds from contagious diseases like haemorrhagic septicemia, foot and mouth and new castle.
For this purpose, 575 flood relief centres have been established throughout the province, according to a press release issued by the Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development here on Monday.
According to details, 394 veterinary officers and 1187 venture assistants have been deployed for the vaccination of animals and poultry birds.
The Livestock Department has established a Central Flood Relief Cell at 16 Cooper Road, Lahore, which is working round the clock.
