PBC to observe 'Black Day' on August 18

Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) while announcing to observe black day on Wednesday, August 18, has asked the lawyers community to hoist black flags, wear black strips and passed resolutions against the nomination of Shaukat Aziz as Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Chairman Executive Committee PBC Kazim Khan and other representatives of the bar while talking to the newsmen in the Lahore High Court Bar premises also called upon the people of Pakistan to reject Shaukat Aziz in the by-elections on August 18.
They maintained that nomination of Shaukat Aziz as Prime Minister is an insult of all the members of the parliament. They added that appointment of Shujaat Hussain, as a 'Temporary Prime Minister' was also a joke with the parliament and its members.
They said that present rulers instead of creating further problems for this country as well as people of Pakistan should work for strengthening the democratic institutions.
They said that the lawyers would continue its struggle for strengthening democracy and reviving the constitution in the country.
